Programme Structure

• Picture book teaching inspires learning with emotion

A child’s life experience can be shared through the stories and emotions of a picture book. Starting with love and affection, stories can enable children feel love and extend those feelings towards themselves, their families, the community and nature. Stories create a rich imaginary space for young children. When the story context is combined with children’s life experiences and kindles their learning motivation, learning becomes personalized. Children can role play in the activity corner according to their own ideas and imagination, and discover a love for learning through hands-on experiences, which develop their knowledge, skills and learning attitudes.

• Learning Through Play

Play comes naturally for young children. Our school returns the “right to play” to children, allowing them to learn freely, autonomously, and purposefully in a relaxed environment. Young children become the decision-makers of “real games”, the owners of materials, and the creators of their environment. From free “autonomous play”, young children can gain experience, organize new ideas, express opinions, solve problems, formulate rules and constantly challenge themselves to develop their greatest potential. After playing games, the children share, record and review under the guidance of the teacher, reshape the experience, organize and consolidate their newly acquired knowledge and skills, and scaffold their learning to the next level.

• Get out of campus and Enjoy Nature

Children visit the garden exploration area of our school every day to carry out discovery activities, and every month, we take field trips into nature. These activities allow young children to explore and reflect on their relationship with nature, and to use elements of nature, including sand, wood, stone and water, to play games. We also encourage young children to develop their creativity and strengthen their interpersonal and communication skills through nature.

• Creative Integrated Arts

Artistic development is one of the main development axes of our school. Through creation, students can enhance their creativity, express their emotions, learn from each other and appreciate each other. In the process of creation, students can discover themselves through observation and practice, so as to understand themselves and further personalize the learning process.

• Moral Education

Our school attaches importance to the cultivation of character. Moral education is embedded into the curriculum so that children can understand the learning elements of moral education in the context of life and extend them from the school to the home. In home-school co-operation, moral education helps children establish the concept of right and wrong and cultivate positive values towards themselves and life.
